Oh how I love to dream!!!  My name is Kelly and I live in Montana’s beautiful Gallatin Valley.

My blog gets its name from my sweet, little dog and companion, Dori. She is such a carefree, fun-loving, yet contemplative being…I think I could learn a bit about life by observing her. I have spent far too much time denying who I am through life’s burdens. I have justified that neglect of me by telling myself and others that obligations and duties are more important.

Then, one day, I realized that it was just cowardice. I had hidden myself away, knowing that to do otherwise would mean accepting a responsibility for greatness which, of course, requires faith and boldness. I am an artist who has never expressed herself. I think that is a travesty. I also think that I am not alone. How many of us have put ourselves away in order to provide, failing to realize that it is only faithful, honest stewarding of who we are destined to be that reaps the rewards we so long for!?!

Well, as I type this out with my genuine, true-to-self dog resting on my lap, I am inspired to make a change. I am going to find that expression of me that is within, beckoning like a grand secret and every time I look at the title of my blog, “Dori Days,” I will be reminded that the sweet things in life are the original things that come solely out of the original self.
